1903 FASHION PRINTS

LA MODE ILLUSTREE

This series of elegant wood engravings was published 1903 by
the La Mode Illustree magazine in Paris. They were the haute coutour designs
of that time. It seems even France was overwhelmed by the Victorian standard -
completely concealing the body by the volume of draping material used in the dresses.
Whimsical and contemporarily hand coloured at the time, these would be a lovely accent
in a ladies dressing room . They vary in width but are 10"s high.
Each is in perfect condition and sells for C$75. The bridal dresses are C$95
